Nichols Poaches McBride Interim Finance Chief From Late February

21st Oct 2019 09:27

(Alliance News) - Soft drinks maker Nichols PLC said Monday it poached McBride PLC Interim Chief Financial Officer David Rattigan as its own new numbers chief from late February.

Rattigan will join the Vimto maker from February 24, replacing current Nichols CFO Tim Croston who previously announced his intention to stand down by the end of June 2020.

Rattigan joins from consumer goods maker McBride. He is currently serving as interim finance head at McBride, after having served as financial controller for five years.

He has served as interim CFO since July, after previous incumbent Chris Smith assumed the chief executive role at the firm on an acting basis. Smith will return to his CFO role at McBride from the start of November following the appointment of a new permanent CEO.

Previously, Rattigan has served in a number of roles including as financial control director at Premier Foods PLC and business services director at the UK & Ireland unit of French food services firm Sodexo SA.

"I am delighted to announce David's appointment as chief financial officer and look forward to welcoming him to the company in the new year," Nichols Chair John Nichols said.

"Tim Croston, our outgoing CFO, will work closely with David to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities until his departure in June," John Nichols added. "I would like to reiterate our thanks to Tim for his significant contribution over 15 years with the group."

Shares in Nichols were 0.4% higher at 1,593.00 pence in London on Monday.
