LONDON (Alliance News) - NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd on Wednesday said it has bought two UK solar plants for a total investment value of GBP9.3 million.
The solar investment firm said the two plants are in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, and both have battery energy storage systems, meaning this is NextEnergy's first foray into integrating operating solar plants with these systems.
They have a total capacity of 7.2 megawatt peak, with energy storage capabilities of a combined 1 megawatt.
NextEnergy is planning to increase exposure in this area, it said, and expects to announce further investments in due course.
Shares were up 0.6% on Wednesday at 109.17 pence each.
