(Alliance News) - Infrastructure investor NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd said on Wednesday that it has acquired a solar farm in Northern Ireland.
Ballygarver was acquired for a total investment value of GBP8.5 million and the eight mega watt peak receives government subsidies under Northern Ireland's renewable obligation certificate scheme.
The company also said its Hall Farm extension was connected to the grid on Monday. Hall Farm II, a development of Hall Farm in Leicestershire, will not receive any government subsidies, NextEnergy said.
The company said construction of its Staughton asset in Northern Ireland is progressing with grid connection anticipated to occur by the end of the year.
Shares in NextEnergy closed 0.4% higher at 120.00 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
