LONDON (Alliance News) - UK clothing and homeware retailer Next PLC's Group Product Director Christos Angelides stepped down this week, just a month after the retailer announced that Finance Director David Keens will be retiring next March.
Angelides is leaving Next to take up a job with Abercrombie & Fitch Co. He's stepped down from the board with immediate effect, but will remain working within the business until he departs in September.
Both Angelides and Keens have been with the company for 28 years.
"NEXT will have a balanced board, with four non-executive directors, four executive directors and an independent chairman. So the company does not intend to appoint any new directors to the PLC board as a consequence of this announcement," the company said this week.
Next shares closed Tuesday down 1.7% at 6515.00 pence.
