(Alliance News) - NewRiver REIT PLC said Wednesday its board of directors has agreed to waive 20% of its base salaries and fees for three months with effect from May 1, amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The resulting cash will be donated by the retail and leisure-focused real estate investment trust to its corporate charity partner, the Trussell Trust, which supports food banks across the UK.
NewRiver REIT first entered its partnership with the Trussell Trust in June 2019, and to date has donated nearly GBP100,000.
Shares in NewRiver REIT were up 0.9% at 58.80 pence on Wednesday in London.
