LONDON (Alliance News) - New World Resources PLC Monday said it produced more coking coal and thermal coal in the third quarter of 2015 than it did in the previous year, although it has produced less in the first nine months of 2015 than in 2014.
The company said it had produced 2,104 kilo tonnes of coking coal and thermal coal in the quarter, taking its total production for the first nine months to 5,716 kilo tonnes.
Production in the quarter was ahead of 1,835 kilo tonnes produced in the third quarter of the previous year, although behind the 6,322 kilo tonnes it produced in the first nine months of the previous year.
It sold 1,075 kilo tonnes of coking coal during the quarter at an average price of EUR90 per tonne, and 955 kilo tonnes of thermal coal at an average price of EUR49 per tonne.
This compared to 1,103 kilo tonnes of coking coal sold in the previous year at an average price of EUR82 per tonne, and 962 kilo tonnes of thermal coal at a price of EUR52 per tonne.
Shares in New World Resources were up 2.1% at 823.00 pence Monday afternoon.
