LONDON (Alliance News) - New World Resources PLC Friday reported a fatality at the CSM Mine of its Czech mining subsidiary OKD.
The company said a 46 year old worker died at around 900 metres underground.
An investigative committee comprising members of the District Mining Authority in Ostrava, CSM Mine management, OKD management, the OKD Trade Unions representatives, and the Police of the Czech Republic is now conducting an enquiry into the accident.
"New World Resources expresses its deepest condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the deceased worker," the company said.
The stock closed up 6.9% at 13.90 pence Friday.
