LONDON (Alliance News) - New World Oil and Gas PLC said it knows of no reason for the sharp increase in its share price Wednesday.
The oil and gas investment company's stock was up 27% at 0.350 pence at mid-afternoon, having touched an intraday high of 0.49p. Volume is 18.6 million shares, compared to average daily volume of 3.2 million.
The company's statement coincided with its annual general meeting.
