(Alliance News) - Mining investor Mineral & Financial Investments Ltd on Thursday posted a double-digit net asset value hike, climbing to yet another record high.
Net asset value at December 31 was 22% higher year-on-year at 15.19 pence, from 12.54p, which was formerly an all-time high for the company.
Shares were 8.0% higher at 9.99 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
Mineral & Financial said: "This continued NAV growth was in spite of market headwinds in the areas in which we invest, particularly from the weak zinc prices and the strengthening of the British pound."
The Cayman Islands-based firm posted a 66% year-on-year fall in pretax profit to GBP247,000 from GBP722,000.
