LONDON (Alliance News) - Shares rose in NetScientific PLC on Monday as it said that majority-owned Wanda Inc reported a 46% reduction in re-admissions to hospitals of high-risk congestive heart failure patients.
Shares in the healthcare group rose 12% at 48.80 pence on Monday.
Wanda - in which NetScientific holds a 71% stake - develops real time technology to assess a patient's status and enables the detection of adverse events up to seven days in advance of it occurring.
"The data are impressive as patients with congestive heart failure typically have a very high re-admission rate. This demonstrates the invaluable potential Wanda's technology has in streamlining care and improving patient outcomes. We are entering a new digital era of healthcare in which we firmly believe Wanda can play a pivotal role, and we are very pleased to see the collaboration with HRS working so well," said NetScientific Chief Executive Officer Francois Martelet.
