LONDON (Alliance News) - Interactive gaming company NetPlay TV Wednesday said revenues were up 19% in the third quarter, buoyed by growing use of mobiles and tablets to play its casino games.
The company said revenues were GBP6.5 million in the three months to end-September, up from GBP5.4 million a year earlier, as mobile and tablet contribution more than doubled, accounting for 40% of all new depositing casino players and 32% of net revenue, up from 14% a year ago.
The company said new depositing casino players rose 30% to 15,566, from 11,978 a year earlier, and a 4% increase on the second quarter. The number of active depositing casino players rose 29% to 28,890, up from 22,417 a year earlier, a 2% increase on the second quarter.
It said the revenue increase came despite the hot weather in July which reduced the total number of players.
NetPlay TV was up 5% at 17.725 pence early Wednesday.
