NCC Group Raises Interim Dividend 16% As Revenue, Pretax Profit Rise

16th Jan 2014 11:24

LONDON (Alliance News) - NCC Group PLC raised its interim dividend after it posted rises in revenue and pretax profit, boosted by a strong performance in its Assurance division as international cyber-security markets thrived.

The company, which provides IT assurance, proposed Thursday an interim dividend of 1.14 pence, up 16% from 0.98 pence in the previous year.

In the half year ended November 30, the company posted revenue of GBP54.0 million, up from GBP48.1 million. In its Assurance division, revenue grew up to 15%, and in its Escrow division revenue grew 7%.

Pretax profit was GBP11.1 million, up from GBP7.5 million in the previous year.

The company noted that its revenue is biased towards the second half, and as a result, it is confident for a good second half in line with expectations.

NCC expressed confidence in its Artemis project, designed to develop a secure domain environment by operating its own generic top level domain, as it saw positive feedback from testing customers. A top level domain name is the suffix of an internet address such as .com or .net

The company expects to launch the service from the start of the next financial year.

Shares in NCC Group were trading up 0.75 pence, or 0.4%, at 195.75p Thursday.
