LONDON (Alliance News) - Nature Group PLC Tuesday said it has signed a three-year contract for its Compact Treatment Units with SeaDrill Ltd in Brazil. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The maritime and offshore oil and gas waste treatment specialist said the deal is to support the processing of liquid waste generated on SeaDrill's three drilling rigs offshore Brazil.
The compact Treatment Unit is a containerised slop water processing unit that processes light liquid waste generated on a rig on the platform itself.
The company said that, as part of the deal, a Sludge Treatment Unit, for drilling mud treatment, will be included in the rental contract to enable zero hydrocarbon discharge criteria to be met at the sites.
Nature Group said dedicated units will be shipped to Brazil and are expected to commence operation at the end of the first quarter 2014.
"I am very pleased that after the successful projects with OceanRig in Brazil last year, we can extend our rental fleet through this new customer and contract. Our local agent, Alliance Ambiental, has been instrumental in obtaining the contract," Nature Oil & Gas Chief Executive Officer Stig Feyling said in a statement.
Nature Group shares were up 2.1% to 24.88 pence Tuesday.
