(Alliance News) - Power infrastructure firm National Grid PLC said Tuesday that US Executive Director Dean Seavers has stepped down from his role at the FTSE 100-listed firm for "personal reasons".
Seavers has been the executive director of the US unit of National Grid since 2015. He will stand down as a member of the National Grid board and president of the US business with immediate effect, but will remain at the business until the end of 2019 to ensure a "smooth leadership transition and handover."
National Grid explained Seavers was leaving the London-based firm for "personal reasons".
"It has been a pleasure to work with Dean over the last few years and he has been a key part of my management team. I wish him well for the future," National Grid Chief Executive Officer john Pettigrew said.
Seavers will be replaced at the head of the US business by Corporate Development Director Badar Khan on an interim basis, pending a permanent appointment.
"Badar's knowledge of National Grid and his experience in the US will ensure a smooth transition whilst we undertake a search for Dean's permanent successor", Pettigrew added.
Shares in National Grid were 0.1% lower at 896.10 pence in London on Tuesday.
