(Alliance News) - NARF Industries PLC on Friday said it has accelerated product development by using government-funded research programmes and advances in generative artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Shares in NARF Industries more than doubled to 0.75 pence each on Friday afternoon in London, having closed at 0.33p on Thursday.
The US-focused cybersecurity provider said it is now backed by close to USD4 million in government development funding. It will bring its Social Cyber software and services to the market in summer.
NARF said its launch for commercialisation is based in the Defence Advanced Research Project Agency-backed Social Cyber programme.
The company said that although "ongoing shifts in government funding priorities" have affected the timing of programs, its contract backlog allows "sufficient runway to absorb these impacts over the next several quarters without requiring additional rewards".
"The company also notes its strategy is increasingly aligned with these shifting government priorities - favouring more near-term deployable solutions over longer-term basic research," NARF said.
The firm said advances in agentic AI and large language model infrastructure allow it to integrate AI and its Social Cyber solution "far faster and at less cost" than originally projected.
Chief Executive Officer Steve Bassi said: "A year ago, we believed partnering with an AI specialist would be essential to stay competitive. But our direct work with the latest Agentic AI and LLM tools has proven otherwise-small, expert teams like ours can now deliver advanced capabilities that once required significant investment and headcount.
"This hands-on success allowed us to move beyond AI-first partnerships and instead focus on aligning with cybersecurity industry leaders who offer direct market access and platform synergy. With our self-sustained commercialisation progress to date, NARF is now engaging with top-tier partners on its own terms-driven by strategy, not necessity."
