LONDON (Alliance News) - Cadmium-free quantum dots and nanomaterials maker Nanoco Group PLC on Monday said it has signed a non-exclusive licensing agreement German science and technology group Merck KGaA.
Under the agreement, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, Merck will immediately start marketing Nanoco quantum dots to its display industry customers.
"This agreement with Merck is another major endorsement of the world-class quality of our cadmium free quantum dot technology. We are convinced that Merck can leverage its position in the display industry with these innovative materials," said Chief Executive Michael Edelman.
Shares in Nanoco were up 8.3% to 78.25 pence on Monday morning.
