LONDON (Alliance News) - Nanoco Group PLC on Tuesday said it has received a grant from Innovate UK to back its collaboration with Loughborough University on developing its printable solar cell technology.
Nanoco said Innovate UK, the UK government-backed agency, has provided a GBP399,562 grant to the project, a collaboration with Loughborough's Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology.
The two-year project with Loughborough is to develop Nanoco's copper, indium, gallium, selenide solar ink towards creating a thin film photovoltaic mini-module.
"We're very pleased to receive this grant award from Innovate UK to fund the next stage of development of our exciting solar ink technology," said Nanoco Chief Executive Michael Edelman.
Shares in Nanoco were down 0.2% to 112.75 pence on Tuesday morning.
