LONDON (Alliance News) - Cadmium-free quantum dots maker Nanoco Group PLC on Thursday said it has continued to benefit from a shift to a non-exclusive strategy and said its manufacturing partner is to accelerate production.
Nanoco said its film coating partner Wah Hong Industrial Corp, has made film at its facility in Runcorn which will be unveiled on new televisions using Nanoco's CFQD Fine Color film at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January.
Based on the high market demand for this film, Wah Hong is to bring its planned investment in expanding capacity at the Runcorn factory forward by 12 months and a new production line is set to be operational by the second quarter of 2017.
Nanoco said the development of its own commercial manufacturing business has also continued apace and it looks ahead to its current financial year, to the end of July 2017, "with confidence".
Shares in Nanoco were up 5.3% to 45.00 pence on Thursday morning.
