(Alliance News) - Naked Wines PLC on Tuesday said it completed the sale of Majestic Wine Warehouses Ltd and Les Celliers de Calais SAS, which together formed Majestic Wine's retail and commercial businesses.
As a result of the disposal to an unnamed buyer, Naked Wines is now a single brand and pure-play online business that is "well capitalised and wholly focused on realising the attractive growth opportunity ahead", Naked Wines said.
No financial details of the asset sale were disclosed.
Naked Wines had announced the GBP95 million sale of Majestic Wine in August. The firm then changed its name to Naked Wines from Majestic Wine, with the remaining Naked Wines operation being purely online.
As previously announced, the company will pay a 5.2 pence special dividend to shareholders as asset disposals are now complete.
Shares in Norwich-based wine retailer were flat at 215.00p in London on Tuesday.
