LONDON (Alliance News) - Power producer Mytrah Energy Ltd on Monday said it has commissioned the first phase of its wind energy project in Bhesada in Rajasthan in India ahead of schedule.
Mytrah said the 50 megawatt project will involve the installation of 24 Suzlon wind turbines at the project. The first phase, which will start production on Monday, will include an initial 16 megawatts, with the rest to be installed ahead of the 2016 wind season in the country.
"The commissioning of this wind energy project, well ahead of our original plan, is a strong demonstration of our execution capability. It is the first part of 200 MW of additional capacity which we have planned for the 2016 wind season," said Ravi Kailas, chairman and chief executive of Mytrah.
Shares in Mytrah were down 3.4% to 64.25 pence on Monday.
