LONDON (Alliance News) - Myanmar Investments International Ltd Wednesday said it is considering issuing equity over the net few months to raise additional funding "in order to take advantage of its growing pipeline of investment opportunities".
Myanmar Investment said it needs further funds to take advantage of a number of investment opportunities that it is looking at across the healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing and education sectors.
"Whilst it is possible that none of these opportunities will become investments given the size, quality and frequency with which opportunities are now arising we want to be well placed to take advantage of them and to this end we are seeking to ensure that we have an appropriate level of funds available," said Finance Director Michael Dean.
Myanmar Investment shares were up 1.5% to 1.32 pence per share on Wednesday afternoon.
