LONDON (Alliance News) - Flat panel antennas maker MTI Wireless Edge Ltd on Wednesday said its Mottech Water Solutions Ltd unit has secured its first order in Tanzania.
Mottech received an energy and water resources management order from an unnamed customer in the East African country. No financial details were disclosed, but MTI said the order is "small in terms of its initial value".
"The technology and services provided by Mottech enable the efficient management of water and power, which are expensive resources in the African market," said MTI Chief Executive Dov Feiner.
"We believe that there is a significant growth opportunity for Mottech's services to be successfully used across Africa, and we hope that this deployment can become a local reference site, in order to demonstrate the cost and resource saving benefits of wireless irrigation control," Feiner added.
MTI shares were up 4.4% on Wednesday at 24.15 pence.
