31st Mar 2016 08:59

LONDON (Alliance News) - MP Evans Group PLC on Thursday said its managing director will step down and its finance director will move into the role.

The company, which produces palm oil in Indonesia and farms beef cattle in Australia, said Philip Fletcher will step down as managing director following the company's annual general meeting on June 10.

He will be replaced by Tristan Price, who will become managing director at the same time. Price is currently MP Evans's finance director.

MP Evans also said it has proposed the appointment of banking industry veteran Bruce Tozer to its board. Tozer has worked for the likes of Rabobank International, JPMorgan Chase & Co and Credit Agricole SA in the past.

MP Evans shares were up 1.8% to 401.22 pence.
