(Alliance News) - Indonesia-focused palm oil producer MP Evans Group PLC said Thursday 2019 crop and production both rose from the year before.
For 2019, MP Evans generated a crop of fresh fruit bunches of 1.0 million tonnes, up 21% from 829,100 tonnes the prior year. This was helped by a 16% rise in the company's own crop to 663,300 tonnes.
Overall, crude palm oil production rose by 20% to 231,000 tonnes. Palm kernel production grew by 22% year-on-year to 53,000 tonnes.
Shares in MP Evans, which is based in Kent, were down 0.4% at 708.0 pence on Thursday in London.
