LONDON (Alliance News) - Motive Television PLC Thursday said that its subsidiary has signed a software development license contract with China-based Shenzhen Skyworth Digital Technology Co Ltd, to integrate its technology into the set-top boxes for its project with Siyaya Free to Air TV Ltd in South Africa.
Last month, Motive Television said that its subsidiary had begun the installation of its Content Express software platform as part of a contract with Siyaya Free to Air TV Ltd in South Africa. Siyaya plans to begin commercial operations using Motive's software in autumn 2014.
Shenzhen Skyworth Digital Technology Co Ltd, the second biggest subsidiary of Skyworth Group PLC, is supplying the set-top boxes for Siyaya's services.
Motive Television said Thursday that under its agreement with technology manufacturer Skyworth, Motive will receive an Skyworth Digital Technology licensee fee, a certification fee for each model of device, and royalty fees based on the number of units manufactured.
Motive Television shares were up 0.4% at 0.0226 pence per share Thursday morning.
