LONDON (Alliance News) - Motive Television PLC said on Monday its TabletTV application has been approved by Apple for use on its Apple TV platform and is now available to US customers.
The app will enable users in the US to watch over-the-air networks and local channels on their main televisions via Apple TV.
"We are aware that a number of companies are hard at work to create Apps and reception devices that make it possible to view broadcast network channels on the Apple TV platform. It is a notable accomplishment that Motive is the first to do so based on our leading technology," said Motive Chief Executive Leonard Fertig.
Elsewhere, the company said its nominated adviser, Sanlam Securities UK Ltd, was resigning, effective from February 14. Sanlam had told the company it also intended to cease small cap broking activities.
Motive said it was in talks with several replacement nomads, and hoped to announce a replacement shortly.
Under AIM rules the company is required to appoint a new nominated adviser within a month, or its shares will be cancelled from trading from AIM.
