LONDON (Alliance News) - Mothercare PLC said Friday that Chief Financial Officer Matt Smith has given notice of his resignation. Smith has a notice period of 12 months, and will remain with the company until a successor has been appointed.
Mothercare will commence a search for a successor immediately, it said.
"Matt has strengthened Mothercare's financial position during his time with the company and is leaving the business in good shape," said Chief Executive Mark Newton-Jones in a statement.
Shares in Mothercare were trading up 0.4% at 258.75 pence Friday afternoon.
