Mortice Subsidiary Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With Meghalaya Government

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mortice Ltd Wednesday said that its subsidiary Peregrine Guarding Services has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Meghalaya government in India, for the training of candidates in the security and guarding industry, to be deployed across India once qualified.

The AIM-listed India-focused security and facilities management company said that under the terms of the memorandum of understanding, new facilities will be created in the state of Meghalaya in North Eastern India, for the training of candidates. It said that once the training is complete, successful candidates will receive a Certificate of Competence from its subsidiary Peregrine Guarding Services, and then assisted in securing employment across all states of India.

The MOU between Peregrine and the Government of Meghalaya was signed in Shillong earlier this month.

"Mortice is now the fifth largest security company in India and we pride ourselves in promoting the highest of levels of training and to help in maintaining the highest standards in the industry," Executive Chairman Manjit Rajain said in a statement.

Mortice shares were down 5.3% Wednesday morning, trading at 45.00 pence per share.
