Mortgage Advice Bureau Appoints Former ULS CEO As Managing Director

4th Apr 2018 09:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mortgage Advice Bureau PLC said on Wednesday that Ben Thompson has been appointed as managing director of the group with effect from June 7.

Thompson was most recently chief executive officer of ULS Technology PLC, the provider of online B2B platforms for the UK conveyancing and financial intermediary markets.

Following Thompson's departure, Managing Director Stephen Goodall has been promoted to chief executive officer at ULS Technology.

Prior to that he held senior positions at Legal & General Group PLC, where he ran their market-leading mortgage distribution business, as well as the banking division.

"MAB's strategy is very clear, and appointing Ben clearly reflects the level of ambition we have. This will be our seventh key appointment since IPO, and the first new role on the executive board, I am really looking forward to working closely with him to deliver our strategic objectives for the next five years and beyond. We will make a great team, and I have no doubt that we will be pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved even further than we do now," said Chief Executive Officer Peter Brodnicki.

Shares in Mortgage Advice Bureau remained flat at 618.00 pence, while shares in ULC were down 1.3% at 155.50 pence on Wednesday.
