Moody's Affirms A2 Rating Of RSA Insurance, Retains Stable Outlook

LONDON (Alliance News) - Moody's Investors Service on Thursday affirmed the A2 insurance financial strength rating of RSA Insurance Group PLC.

The ratings agency also affirmed the A2 insurance financial strength rating of Royal & Sun Alliance

Insurance PLC, RSA's Baa1(hyb) guaranteed subordinated debt rating and Ba2(hyb) perpetual restricted Tier 1 contingent convertible notes rating.

The outlook remains stable.

The affirmation of RSA's ratings reflects the group's (i) strong competitive position in its key markets, (ii) its relatively well diversified business profile, (iii) conservative investment portfolio,

and (iv) low adjusted financial leverage," Moody's said.

Shares in RSA closed at 630.00 pence, down 0.3%.
