(Alliance News) - Montanaro UK Smaller Cos Investment Trust PLC said Tuesday it has appointed Catriona Hoare as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
Chair Arthur Copple said: "Catriona has extensive experience of and expertise in investment management and I am confident that she will be a great addition to the board."
Hoare has been an investment partner at Veritas Investment Management in London since 2013. Prior to this, she was a fund manager at Newton Investment Management.
The company also announced the resignation of Kate Bolsover as a non-executive director, with effect from the conclusion of a board meeting held on Tuesday.
Copple added: "The board would like to express its sincere thanks to Bolsover for her significant contribution to the company since her appointment in 2014 as non-executive director and senior independent director."
James Robinson, currently chair of the Audit & Management Engagement Committee, will now also act as senior independent director.
Shares were 1.7% higher in London on Tuesday afternoon at 121.00 pence each.
