Moneysupermarket Retains Annual Outlook As Quarterly Revenue Rises

11th Oct 2018 09:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - Moneysupermarket.com Group PLC on Thursday reported a 6.8% year-on-year rise in third-quarter revenue on the back of positive momentum across all core divisions and said it remains confident of meeting current market expectations for the full year.

The price comparison website recorded revenue of GBP96.4 million for the three months to September-end, up from GBP90.2 million recorded in the year ago period. Year-to-date revenue grew 5.7% to GBP270.1 million.

Moneysupermarket's insurance unit remained in growth despite a falling premium cycle, the company said. Positive momentum in Money continued and the Energy switching division performed ahead of expectations due to good offers.

"Trading continues on track as we reinvent the business to help our customers save more money. Energy switching in our Home Services business was better than expected with customers taking advantage of great 18 month fixed deals to beat rising prices," said Chief Executive Mark Lewis.

Shares in Moneysupermarket were down 0.6% at 262.30 pence each.
