Mondi Says Underlying Operating Profit Set To Rise For 2015

16th Feb 2016 07:42

LONDON (Alliance News) - Anglo-South African packaging group Mondi PLC on Tuesday said it is set to report a rise in underlying operating profit in 2015.

The FTSE 100-listed group said its underlying operating profit for the full year will be ahead of the EUR767.0 million it posted in 2014, tracking with the 29% rise it had reported for the first nine months of 2015 to the end of September.

It will book an exceptional charge of around EUR47.0 million for the year, compared to EUR48.0 million, the year before, related to restructuring and closure costs and the settlement of a legal case involving its 2012 acquisition of Nordenia.

Mondi said basic earnings per share will be between 121 and 126 euro cents, up 24% to 29% from 97.4 euro cents the year before. Basic underlying EPS will be 131 to 136 euro cents, up 22% to 27%, the company said.
