(Alliance News) - Mondi PLC on Friday launched a EUR750 million eight-year eurobond with proceeds to be used for general corporate purposes.
The bond matures in April 2028 and has a 2.375% coupon. It will be issued under Mondi's euro medium term note programme, rated Baa1 by Moody's and BBB+ by Standard & Poor's.
Chief Executive Designate Andrew King said: "We are pleased to have successfully launched a EUR750 million eurobond today, which was supported by a wide group of European institutional investors, extending our debt maturity profile and further strengthening the group's liquidity position."
Shares in Mondi closed down 0.1% at ZAR279.42 in Johannesburg on Friday, and down 4.3% at 1,327.00 pence in London.
