LONDON (Alliance News) - Wastewater treatment and water monitoring technology company Modern Water PLC on Monday said it has signed an joint development agreement with Advent Envirocare Technology Pvt Ltd for the Indian market.
Under the deal, the pair will work together on developing and commercialising Modern Water's all-membrane brine concentration technology for wastewater treatment plants across India.
The two will jointly fund and deploy a pilot test plant in India, with testing to complete by the end of 2016.
"We are pleased to partner with Advent Envirocare in the important Indian market, and we are confident that together we will be able to bring quantifiable benefits to customers by significantly lowering the cost of waste water treatment in achieving zero liquid discharge standards," said Simon Humphrey, Modern Water's chief executive.
Modern Water shares were up 0.7% to 6.80 pence.
