LONDON (Alliance News) - Modern Water PLC Wednesday said water company Severn Trent PLC has bought one of its trace metal monitors after trialling it at a water treatment works in the UK.
In a statement, the fresh water and water quality monitoring technology company said the trial was paid and had run for three months. Severn Trent is now deciding where it will deploy the monitor, Modern Water added.
"This is the first OVA7000 installed for drinking water quality in the UK. Traditionally the UK water companies have relied on laboratory analysis or alternative on-line methods for trace metals detection," Neil Townend, managing director of Modern Water's monitoring division said in a statement.
Modern Water shares were down 0.7% at 34 pence Wednesday.
