Mobile Streams Appoints New Board Advisor As Shareholder Backs Off

25th Sep 2019 14:44

(Alliance News) - Mobile Streams PLC on Wednesday said a shareholder has decided against calling a shareholder meeting to remove the company's management.

On Tuesday, the mobile entertainment content provider said Sriramakrishna Uthayanan, who holds over 5% of the firm's shares, had called a meeting.

At the meeting, shareholders would have voted the removal of Chief Executive Simon Buckingham and Non-Executive Director Jonathan Bill, and then appoint Uthayanan as a director.

However, Uthanayan has now withdrawn his resolution, meaning no meeting will be held.

Mobile Streams said on Wednesday Annabel Jamieson has been appointed as an advisor to the board with immediate effect. She co-founded, as is a director, of data analytics platform Krunch.ai and business intelligence firm Ignite AMT.

CEO Buckingham said: "Having known of Annabel, her calibre and her reputation for many years within mobile industry circles, I'm delighted she is bringing her software and marketing expertise to advise the company's board."

Shares were 3.8% higher on Wednesday at a price of 0.28 pence each.
