LONDON (Alliance News) - Outsourcer Mitie Group PLC on Wednesday said its facilities management unit has been awarded a contract worth over GBP100.0 million by NHS Property Services.
Mitie said it won 25 of the 31 lots on offer and said the contract won is for three years, with two one-year extension options.
Mitie will supply its hard facilities management services to a wider number of NHS sites across the country. The award following the process of NHS Property Services consolidating more than 2,300 individual facilities management contracts into five key deals.
"We are very pleased to have been awarded this landmark contract. We are looking forward to working in partnership with NHS Property Services in the years ahead to improve the efficiency of the facilities management services provided to their wide range of buildings across England," said Mitie Chief Executive Ruby McGregor-Smith.
Mitie shares were up 0.5% to 280.90 pence.
