LONDON (Alliance News) - Mitie Group PLC said Wednesday it has extended its relationship with Vodafone Group PLC's UK business, Vodafone UK, to provide integrated facilities management for the next five years in a deal valued in excess of GBP250 million.
The strategic outsourcing company said that under the terms of the contract it will deliver services across Vodafone's UK property portfolio of around 1500 sites, including retail outlets, mobile telephone exchange sites and offices.
The new contract, which has a total value in excess of GBP250 million, will see the firms' relationship extended out to 2019.
The FTSE 250-listed company said it will be responsible for services including fabric and engineering maintenance, workplace management, travel management, energy management, security, cleaning, mailroom and couriers, helpdesk, landscaping, waste and pest services.
Mitie shares were trading marginally lower Wednesday morning, down 0.88% at 325.2 pence per share. Vodafone Group shares were trading 1.45% lower at 204.594 pence per share, one of the biggest fallers in the FTSE 100.
