LONDON (Alliance News) - Mitchells & Butlers PLC said Friday that Senior Independent Director Stewart Gilliland will step down from the board to concentrate on his roles as chairman of C&C Group PLC and as non-executive director of Tesco PLC.
Gilliland joined the managed pubs and restaurant operator in 2013 as non-executive director and was promoted to senior independent director in 2015.
The company, which manages pub chains O'Neill's and Browns among others, said it has already started the recruitment process to appoint a successor for Gilliland. It expects it to be concluded by December, after which Gilliland will step down.
Mitchells & Butlers shares were trading up 0.7% at 262.00 pence each.
