Mirada Shares Jump As It Launches Service For Mexico's Izzi Telecom

17th Feb 2016 08:39

LONDON (Alliance News) - Shares in Mirada PLC jumped Wednesday morning after it said it has launched its first over-the-top content service for Mexican telecoms operator Izzi Telecom SAB de CV.

Mirada provides integrated software for digital television operators and broadcasters.

The company's over-the-top product, meaning content is provided via the internet, will replace Izzi's existing product, allowing customers to watch both live and catch-up television content.

This roll-out is expected to generate a "significant incremental revenue stream" for Mirada, the company said.

"This rollout demonstrates the company's expertise in managing prestigious and complex projects and in delivering excellent products to its customers. We are delighted with the current relationship that we have with this Tier 1 customer and the next commercial launches are expected to go ahead according to plan," sad Chief Executive Officer Jose Vazquez in a statement.

Shares in Mirada were up 26% at 5.50 pence Wednesday morning.
