Mineralisation Continues South And East At Adriatic Metals' Rupice

4th May 2020 15:54

(Alliance News) - Adriatic Metals PLC on Monday said further drill results from the Rupice deposit in Bosnia & Herzegovina showed that mineralisation continues both to the south and east.

Shares in Adriatic Metals were up 7.1% at 64.80 pence in London in afternoon trading.

Rupice is part of the London and Australia-listed exploration company's Vares project. Drill hole BR-02-20 at Rupice intersected massive sulphide mineralisation at the deposit's south-eastern extension.

BR-02-20 returned 8.9 metres at 2.40 grams of gold per tonne of ore, 398 grams per tonne of silver, 1.79% zinc, 3.16% lead, 0.35% copper, and 45% barium sulphate from 368.5 metres.

This intersection in BR-02-20 is the deepest mineralised intersection drilled so far in the southern part of Rupice, confirming "continuity of mineralisation both down-dip and southward".

Drill results from three other infill drill holes, BR-06-20, BR-07-20 and BR-09-20, also confirmed that the high-grade mineralisaton continues in the central part of the deposit.

This includes, at hole BR-06-20, 26.7 metres at 3.95 grams of gold per tonne of ore, 502 grams per tonne of silver, 6.75% zinc, 3.76% lead, 0.35% copper and 72% barium sulphate from 275.5 metres.

Chief Executive & Managing Director Paul Cronin said: "The latest drill results show that the mineralisation at Rupice continues down-dip to the south of the deposit, and remains open to the South, North, East and at depth. The infill confirmation drilling completed in the central part of the deposit confirms continuity of grade and supports our understanding of the geological and structural complexities of the deposit. With the winter months behind us, we will now look to expand our mineralisation in the northern plunge, whilst continuing to test the southern and depth extents.

"Drilling and exploration works continue as per normal despite the current limitations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with little interruption to daily activities."
