LONDON (Alliance News) - Minds + Machines Group Ltd said Wednesday that it had won the rights to the top-level domain names .garden and .yoga at private auctions held last week, and noted that its client Dot London's .london domain launched Tuesday.
The costs of securing the domains was around GBP3.6 million, the company said. It lost out on the domains .deals and .property, however.
The wins take Minds + Machines portfolio to 28 uncontested applications.
".garden and .yoga are major asset wins for the group as both represent activities that people are passionate about - we believe this will become an important factor in the adoption of new domains," said Chairman Fred Kreuger in a statement Wednesday morning.
Shares in Minds + Machines were trading down 5.9% at 16.00 pence Wednesday morning.
