LONDON (Alliance News) - Advertising firm WPP PLC on Tuesday said it has hired Microsoft Corp's UK chief executive, Cindy Rose, to its board as a non-executive director.
Rose, who became head of Microsoft UK in 2016, was previously managing director of Vodafone Group PLC's UK consumer arm.
WPP Chair Robert Quarta commented: "Cindy is one of the most admired and respected figures in the technology industry, and we are delighted to welcome her to the WPP board.
"Her deep understanding of the role of technology in business transformation will be invaluable as the executive team implements its new strategy for growth."
Shares were down 0.4% on Tuesday morning at 851.20 pence each.
