LONDON (Alliance News) - Microsaic Systems PLC on Monday said it has signed a manufacturing supply agreement with GE Healthcare, the medical technology arm of General Electric Co, for the sale of Microsaic's 4000 MiD unit in combination of GE Healthcare instruments.
Microsaic, which makes mass spectrometry instruments, said the deal is focused on the development and commercialisation of a new analytical instrument for use in research and healthcare sectors. Microsaic said the pair are working towards the commercial launch of the integrated product in 2016.
Microsaic did not provide any financial details on the contract.

Over the last year, teams from both companies have established a close and productive relationship and together we are focused on completing the development of this highly innovative instrument and launching it as soon as possible," said Microsaic Chief Executive Colin Jump.
