(Alliance News) - Microsaic Systems PLC on Wednesday said it has teamed up with Axcend Corp with regards to its mass spectrometry detector and Axcend's liquid chromatography system.
The scientific research company said both companies have agreed to integrate Microsaic's 4500 MiD MS with Axcend Focus LC, and to commercialise the combined system globally using their direct sales and selected distribution channels in the UK & Europe and US.
"The combination of Axcend and Microsaic's small footprint technologies supports timely testing in the location where samples are taken, as well as in centralised laboratories," Microsaic noted.
"We are particularly excited by this partnership, which combines two highly differentiated compact products into a very powerful LC/MS system. In addition to the benefits for customers, this collaboration also leverages our shared resources of marketing, direct sales and distribution channels globally," said Microsaic Chief Executive Glenn Tracey.
Microsaic shares were trading flat at 0.90 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
