LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 100-listed infrastructure software business Micro Focus International PLC said that, at a general meeting held earlier on Tuesday, its shareholders approved the sale of its SUSE business segment to Marcel Bidco GmbH for USD2.54 billion.
The SUSE business develops, markets and sources an enterprise grade Linux operating systems well as open source software-defined infrastructure.
Marcel is a newly incorporated subsidiary of EQTVIII SCSp.
"Following this vote, the transaction remains conditional upon the implementation of the separation of the SUSE business segment pursuant to an agreed separation plan and applicable antitrust, competition, merger control and governmental clearances having been obtained," Micro Focus added.
Micro Focus shares were flat at 1,253.50 pence each.
