(Alliance News) - FTSE 250 lender Metro Bank PLC Wednesday said it has appointed Michael Torpey as a new independent non-executive director.
Torpey will join the company's board with effect from September 1, and the appointment brings the number of directors to 12, including six independent directors.
The company added that it continues to search for additional independent non-executives and expects to make further appointments this year.
Metro Bank will report interim results after the market close on Wednesday.
The stock was down 1.0% at 492.40p in London on Wednesday afternoon.
