LONDON (Alliance News) - Metminco Ltd Thursday said it was not aware of any reason why its shares shot higher Wednesday, in response to a request from the Australian stock market authorities.
Metminco shares rallied 23% on AIM Wednesday, and the rise was replicated on the Australian Stock Exchange overnight.
In a statement, the company noted that it had put out a statement October 31 saying it was in talks with potential strategic partners about the development of its Los Calatos copper project in Peru, but said there have been no further developments to report.
Metminco shares were down 2.43% at 2.81 pence on AIM Thursday morning.
