LONDON (Alliance News) - Metal Tiger PLC on Wednesday said progress has been made on the drilling programme at the Kalahari copper belt project in Botswana, a joint venture with MOD Resources.
Metal Tiger said significant copper mineralisation has been intersected at the project, with further drilling to take place to determine the true widths of the intersections.
Drilling should resume on the site when the initial assay results are received, it said.
"Given the progress achieved and the extent of mineralisation identified we are looking forward to receipt and interpretation of the assay results and the completion of the remainder of this stage of the drilling programme," said Metal Tiger Chief Executive Paul Johnson.
Metal Tiger shares were up 0.8% to 1.21 pence on Wednesday.
